“Birth is powerful, let it empower you.”-Unknown

  • My entire life I have been fascinated with pregnancy and birth. Something about the entire phenomenon seemed so incredible to me. In 2011, when I became pregnant with my first child, I knew that it was finally my chance to experience this phenomenon firsthand. All of my research led me to have a completely magical birth experience with a wonderful team of midwives at a free-standing birth center. I loved it so much that I ended up doing it two more times! That sealed the deal for me, and because of that, I am now a certified birth doula, childbirth educator, and breastfeeding counselor through the International Doula Institute. I am also a Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educator!

My education, and three very different and wonderful birth experiences, will allow me to provide you with the information and support you need during your labor. At your side, I will help empower and encourage you through your labor and birth process so that you feel focused and in control. As your doula and childbirth educator, my goal is to provide you with the tools you need to succeed at accomplishing your birth the way you envision it.

When I’m not thinking and talking about birth, I spend a lot of my free time at home with my two sons, daughter, and my husband. When we are not homeschooling or playing outside, you will surely find us at Target! ;)

I am so excited to meet you and have you join one of my childbirth education and/or Spinning Babies® Parent classes! Let’s chat!

  • Hi there,

I’ve been a wife and mom for over 15 years. My husband and I were blessed with a honeymoon baby and my journey into motherhood took off from there. I’ve had 11 babies – 8 are still with us and 3 are in heaven. It’s been a winding road full of ups and downs. I’ve had wonderful births. Some have been attended by midwives, but most were unassisted. We’ve had some curveballs, too, though. Our oldest was born an amputee and our first rainbow baby is a brain cancer survivor. I’ve found my experiences provide a broad base for connecting with other moms, so I’m grateful for all I’ve been through.

As a doula, I am most passionate about serving other moms through the postpartum period and during times of bereavement. Having had so many babies and experiencing loss myself, my hope is that every mom feels supported, seen, heard, and cared for during such times.

I started my midwifery apprenticeship at Tree of Life in early 2023. Along the way, I’ve also served as a birth, postpartum, and bereavement doula for TOL clients.

In order to focus on my midwifery studies and better balance my home life, I am currently attending clients on a limited basis for postpartum and bereavement support only. I’d love to chat if this sounds like what you want or need.

  • My love of babies and the call I feel to nurture and love mothers and children, as well as my experience attending the birth of my nephew at 16, inspired me to become a doula. Since then, it has been an honor and a privilege to witness and help mothers through the amazing feat of birthing life into the world many times.

I was trained through Birth Arts International in 2017 and loved every minute of learning and growing through the program.

Bringing my firstborn into the world this past year at Tree of Life has tremendously impacted my journey as a doula. It gave me a personal experience of what labor is like and heightened my passion for helping other women go through it themselves. There was nothing quite as incredible as reaching down and catching my own son in my arms and lifting him up to my chest as he concluded his journey from womb to world. Now, every time I witness the miracle of life, I am brought back to this moment and reminded of how truly amazing it is what we women accomplish each time we bring a little one earth side.

When not attending meetings or births, I thoroughly enjoy cooking, spending time with my loved ones and reading. I have lived in the Fredericksburg area all my life and now reside in Spotsylvania with my husband and baby boy. I look forward to meeting you and serving you as you go through this magical time.

  • Hello! I am a birth Doula with 15+ years of experience, the wife of a retired Navy sailor and the mother of 2 beautiful children (boy/girl). I have a BS in PE and I’m a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) currently working at Paraclete Physical Therapy. I entered the birthing world through word of a friend who saw that there was a place where I could share my love and compassion for the body with other women.

During my 1st pregnancy I was able to take childbirth Ed classes but still didn’t feel prepared enough which led to a very complicated birthing experience. My mission as a doula now is to provide women and expecting parents with the understanding and knowledge of the birth journey so that they are able to make informed choices.

My philosophy is to enhance each woman birth experience through hands on support and physical exercise. Every woman has her own complaints and fears of her ever-changing body before during and after birth. I want to help you find your self autonomy and become secure in how your body is suppose to move during your pregnancy.

I am committed to teaching women how to birth with their whole body though mind and spirit. “HOW WILL YOU REMEMBER THIS BIRTH” is always on my mind.

I look forward to meeting you.

  • Hey friends, I’m Ariel. Born and raised in Maryland, I was brought up to be passionate about community and caring for other people. I moved from Pennsylvania to Virginia in 2015 and fell in love with my now husband, which made VA my home. My husband is a first responder and I am a public health professional and Birth Doula. We moved to Stafford in 2019 and dove into community with our church (the Mount Church) as well as with local activities like dog training, line dancing and hiking.

I have a Bachelors in Animal Reproductive Science and a Masters in International Public Health. As an advocate for women and maternal health, I found myself in a full time career in public health, focused on sexual and reproductive health and disease globally. I became a community trained prenatal and postpartum Healthy Start Advocate in 2014, a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2015 and a DONA trained Birth Doula in 2021. I launched my personal doula business, RIL Doula Services in 2022 and joined Tree of Life as a Birth Doula in 2023.

My path was inspired by my familial experiences with birth. My mother’s first birth with me was very traumatic and difficult to recover from so when she planned to have my sister, she chose to have a doula. As a soon-to-be sister, I was inspired by how her doula supported my mom and empowered her to have a beautiful natural birth, one that my mother still to this day claims changed her whole perception of her inner strength. As a doula, I am passionate about supporting women in stepping into their instinctual and physiological power in birth. I love to help mothers understand how to connect and trust their bodies and babies throughout the birthing process as well as understand how to interact with the medical system in the U.S.

When not doula-ing, you can find me in the mountains somewhere, hanging with my husband and Portuguese water dogs, eating berry-lemon baked goods or cuddling any cute animal I can find.

  • Hi, I’m Chloe! In 2022, I had a beautiful, transformative birth experience at Tree of Life. Immediately, I knew I had to help other mothers experience that, too. Although I had been curious about becoming a doula for a while, my birth and the support I received from my doula ignited the fire that was building within me.

In January 2024, I completed my doula training and officially became a Certified Birth and Bereavement Doula. As a CBD, I am trained and educated in supporting families through all pregnancies and births, no matter what turns there may be.

As your doula, I will empower, support, and educate you throughout our entire time together: from pregnancy to postpartum. I am committed to providing you with the education, resources, and tools to have the birth you envision!

During pregnancy, I can answer any questions that arise, help you mentally and physically prepare for birth, and provide evidence-based resources to help you make the best decisions for your family. During labor and birth, I provide physical support such as position changes, gentle massage, and various comfort measures, as well as emotional support for you and your partner. I can help you ease into the postpartum period by guiding you in healing, breastfeeding, babywearing, and more. I am here for you every step of the way!

In my free time, you can find me cooking, reading books, spending time outside, or most likely, chasing my toddler.
