Beverley Bouchard

Beverley Bouchard is British-born and has been living in the United States since 1978. She began working with birthing families in 2013. She believes that as baby is born, so too, are the parents. A family is created. Upon graduating from Norland College in Bath, England, Beverley worked with families around the world as a Norland Nanny. She is trained and certified in CPR and NRP, and by DONA, NHTSA, ProDoula and SBD. Beverley plans to complete her midwifery training in the near future.

As a doula with Tree Of Life Midwifery, Beverley is present at births, provides postpartum care, and on occasion, provides bereavement doula care. Working as a child passenger safety technician (CPST), she can check the installation of car seats and the fit of babies in their car seats. Beverley, and her husband Jim, have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. She and her family have cared for about 100 foster babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Her love and respect of babies and new families goes back to her childhood as the neighborhood baby sitter. She has volunteered as a doula at Mary’s Shelter in Fredericksburg and at The Paul Stefan Home in Culpeper. She enjoys knitting, sewing and spending time with family, principally the grandchildren. And, she likes chocolate!
